RJ Hamer Arboretum in Olinda provides a beautiful mixture of bushland and open paddocks with spectacular views. The variety of short and long walking tracks cater to different fitness levels, with child and disability-friendly trails accessible by road. The barbecue area boasts one of the best views in the region, complemented by toilet facilities and ample parking. While there's no playground, the spacious grounds are perfect for bringing bicycles or balls for children. Dog walkers particularly enjoy the quiet areas deep within the reserve.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
